Purpose is a Moment

Formation of group mind includes compersion and shared purpose. Compersion is the feeling of joy one has experiencing another's joy, such as in witnessing a toddler's joy and feeling joy in response. It is the feeling of joy associated with seeing a loved one accomplish a goal or find fulfillment; contrasted with jealousy.  Alex Curry is a young woman from our home town.  Alex is an excellent soccer player in her own right and a journalist.  She rode her Yes And to become the embedded journalist, within the USA women’s soccer team this year.  She speaks of the sound of the whistle at the end of each game in their grueling and triumphant sweep of the World cup this year.  “It sounds like pure Joy.”  “Everything you’ve worked for, the sacrifices you’ve made, the doubt you’ve overcome, and the passion and dedication it takes to accomplish a dream---all of that comes together in that one moment.”  Alex felt the fullness of the moment of victory as if it had been her own. And this brings us to the Moment that is Purpose.

A purpose is a moment.  It is a … belief, a High Intention Desire that draws everything to its completion.  And the moment includes everything that led to the completion of that purpose.  Being on purpose has all of the same mindfulness benefits of being in the moment AND it is active and engaged and productive in the “real” world.  With mindfulness, miracles abound, with purpose “Miracles aground”.  And rather than being a moment defined by a clock, it is a moment defined by purpose.  This is why in the vortex of purpose, time can appear to bend, extend, stretch or slip by very quickly.  The passage of time is altered at the speed of Love.  This is why time flies when you are having fun!
